And another day of watching the Jim Jones of American politics comes to a close:

“It used to be that during a coup, one of the first things coup plotters would do is take over the radio or TV station so they could control the national narrative, spread their views.  Between Fox, OAN, Breitbart and the complicity of the networks, that's no longer necessary.” — David Rothkopf

Trump's false fraud claims are laying groundwork for new voting restrictions, experts warn. While the courts aren’t buying Trump's attempts to overturn the election he lost, experts say they are already seeing a push for new laws making it harder to vote. Keyssar said there have been two major periods of voter suppression in American history, and both followed periods of empowerment of Black Americans and large-scale immigration. After the 15th Amendment and Reconstruction began to empower Black voters and politicians, Jim Crow laws systematically disenfranchised Black voters with poll taxes and literacy taxes...The last two decades have seen aggressive purging of voters from the rolls, restrictive registration rules, voter ID laws, aggressive gerrymandering and more. The mostly Republican proponents of these measures say they are necessary to secure the vote and prevent fraud, with critics, including Democratic lawmakers and civil rights groups, arguing these measures successfully have kept eligible voters from the polls for a problem that doesn’t exist. — Voter suppression and gerrymandering are the only ways the GOP can win, and they all know it.

Donald Trump’s niece says her uncle is “criminal, cruel and traitorous” and belongs in prison after he leaves the White House.

Trump seems depressed and is doing little work apart from pursuing his election fraud claims, report says.

Barr considering stepping down before Trump's term ends.

Rudy Giuliani tests positive for coronavirus, Trump says. Giuliani was admitted to Georgetown University Hospital on Sunday.

Greta Thunberg guest-stars as editor of Swedish newspaper. "Handing over responsibility for Sweden's largest daily newspaper to a minor, an uneducated activist is completely incomprehensible. It's crazy. If it were not for the absurd fact that we are in an existential crisis that is still ignored by our society," Thunberg wrote in an editorial.

A national survey found more than a quarter of teachers say that the COVID-19 crisis has made them more likely to leave the profession.

Schools confront ‘off the rails’ numbers of failing grades. School districts from coast to coast have reported the number of students failing classes has risen by as many as two or three times — with English language learners and disabled and disadvantaged students suffering the most.

Awesome, now police are using automated drones.

Life’s short. Live, love, create, and help others.

Until next time, my friends. Stay safe and stay sane. Good night.
