And another day of statements, being wary of the vaccines, Texas and its power grid, targeting teacher’s unions...again, the men of ‘Buffy’ and ‘Angel’ speak, and slow responses are perceived as lies comes to a close:

Trump rips McConnell in lengthy statement after being acquitted in impeachment trial. "Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again," Trump said in the statement. "He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country. Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First. We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership." -- Most of us just want you and McConnell to go away.

America has a history of medically abusing Black people. No wonder many are wary of COVID-19 vaccines. Since the country's inception, the American medical institution has subjected Black bodies to abuse, exploitation and experimentation. Corpses being pulled from the ground for scientific study. Black women being sterilized without their knowledge and robbed of the opportunity to bear children. An entire Black community misled into believing they were immune from a fatal illness. Time and time again, Black people have been betrayed by the medical establishment, fostering a lingering, deep-rooted mistrust...”When we talk about why Black people wouldn't trust a medical establishment a lot of people cite Tuskegee, which makes sense," said Rana Hogarth, a history professor at the University of Illinois. "But Tuskegee is not the start."

Texas produces more power than any other state. Here's why it went dark anyway. The energy crisis in Texas raises also questions about the nature of the state's deregulated and decentralized electric grid. Unlike other states, Texas has made a conscious decision to isolate its grid from the rest of the country. That means that when things are running smoothly, Texas can't export excess power to neighboring states. And in the current crisis, it can't import power either.

“This is a good time to note that the electrical grid in Texas was deregulated, privatized, and removed from interconnected networks to avoid federal regulation and increase profits to a small number of wealthy individuals.” — Bryan Williams Jones

Texplainer: Why Does Texas Have Its Own Power Grid? Basically, Texas has its own grid to avoid dealing with — you guessed it — the feds. But grid independence has been violated a few times over the years — not even counting Mexico's help during last week's blackouts.

#OpenOurSchools: GOP targets teachers unions in bid to retake suburbs.

The great attention deficit: More parents seek ADHD diagnosis and drugs for kids to manage remote learning.

The Men Of "Buffy" And "Angel" Have Responded To The Joss Whedon Allegations.

Slow responses more likely to be perceived as lies, study finds. Slower responses were perceived as less sincere than faster, “raw” ones because people believed that response speeds could reflect the speaker taking that little bit longer to fabricate an untruthful answer...A pause before replying to a question, even for just a few seconds, prompted the listener to perceive the answer as less sincere and credible than if the speaker had replied immediately.

Life’s short. Live, love, create, and help others.

Until next time, my friends. Stay safe and stay sane. Good night.
