And another day of records, lying senators, and people that “just died sooner” comes to a close:

“Evil people never believe that they are evil; rather, they believe that everyone else is evil.” -- Mark Manson

Deaths

US: 137,782 (+379)

World: 571,571 (+3922)

Countdown: 114 days.

As a reminder, it’s been two weeks since we learned about the Russian bounties on American soldiers. Shortly thereafter we learned that Trump knew about it for months. Yet, neither he nor Congress have done anything.

White House seeks to discredit Fauci amid coronavirus surge. Fauci, who has served in the federal government for decades, can't be directly fired by the president, and there were no signs that Trump was seeking to get rid of him altogether. Rather, the White House salvo appeared aimed at undermining the public's trust in the renowned immunologist in hopes that Americans will be more inclined to believe Trump's far more optimistic version of events as the November election marches closer.

The extreme political pressure on school districts to keep their buildings open, even as COVID-19 cases in Texas soar, is terrifying for educators and school staff who may have to put their health at risk to keep their jobs.

The Florida Department of Health reported 15,299 new Covid-19 cases Sunday, the highest number of new cases reported in a single day by any state since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Sen. Cornyn as Texas reports 550 child cases: 'We still don’t know’ if kids can get, transmit COVID. -- Seems Senator Cornyn is lying.

“We’ve had 21 deaths in Wyoming. Most of those were people with pre-existing conditions or in old folks homes,” trustee Kevin Christopherson said during the board’s Wednesday night meeting. “They were going to die. They just died sooner.” — We’re all going to die at some point, asshole. You’re just trying to make some of us die sooner. But wait. There's more. These people are completely whacked.

While the world anxiously awaits a vaccine, the length and durability of the protective immunity it would provide is far more in doubt than one might think.

Trump on commuting Roger Stone's sentence: 'Very happy with what I did'. — I’m sure you are.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Sunday he will grant a longtime Democratic request to have former special counsel Robert Mueller testify before the committee. -- Graham cannot be trusted. He’s planning something.

Historians will likely rank President Trump as one of the worst presidents. — Like there was any doubt?

Masks are effective only if you wear them properly. Here's the right (and wrong) way.

Three Arizona teachers who shared a classroom got coronavirus. One of them died.

The federal Bureau of Prisons said says a staff member involved in preparing for the first federal executions in nearly two decades has tested positive for coronavirus. The Justice Department says that won't lead to any additional delays.

Looming evictions may soon make 28 million homeless in U.S., expert says.

A woman soldier for the first time will join the Green Berets, one of the US Army's most elite units, after graduating this past week from US Army Special Forces training.

Washington NFL team to announce retirement of 'Redskins' nickname, reveal new name Monday. -- For years Daniel Snyder ignored Native American requests to change the name. It took a corporate sponsor urging him to do so to make it happen. Figures. He’s not doing this because it’s the right thing to do. He’s doing it because of money.

Life’s short. Live, love, create, and help others.

Until next time, my friends. Stay safe and stay sane. Good night.
