And another day of very specific guidance, quitting jobs, no remote options, injunctions, wealth tax hikes, backlash over equity, ‘climate migrants,’ zero-emission vehicles in NY, resurrecting the wooly mammoth, and training cows to use the ‘MooLoo’ comes to a close:

The CDC has very specific guidance about what vaccinated people should do if they are exposed to someone with COVID-19, or if they test positive themselves.

Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville, N.Y., announced Friday that it is pausing maternity services later this month because dozens of staff members quit rather than get COVID-19 vaccines.

Nation's largest school district welcomes New York students back to in-person learning. This time, there won't be a remote option for the district's approximately 1 million students. -- I just don’t agree with this. Some students thrive with online schooling. Now, they no longer have that option. To presume only face-to-face schooling is the best option for everyone is woefully misguided.

Texas judge issues injunction against anti-abortion group on enforcing new law. A Texas state judge issued an injunction against anti-abortion group Texas Right to Life, blocking it from trying to enforce the new six-week abortion ban against Planned Parenthood in Texas.

Democrats seek corporate, wealthy tax hikes for $3.5T plan. The proposed top tax rate would revert to 39.6% on individuals earning more than $400,000, or $450,000 for couples, and there would be a 3% tax on wealthier Americans with adjusted income beyond $5 million a year. For big businesses, the proposal would lift the corporate tax rate from 21% to 26.5% on incomes beyond $5 million, slightly less than the 28% rate the president had sought.

Schools facing critical race theory battles are diversifying rapidly, analysis finds. Many of the school districts facing backlash over equity initiatives are diversifying faster than the national average. -- So the racist are scared and thus showing their anger at local school boards.

Report: Climate change could see 200 million move by 2050. The second part of the Groundswell report published Monday examined how the impacts of slow-onset climate change such as water scarcity, decreasing crop productivity and rising sea levels could lead to millions of what it describes as “climate migrants” by 2050 under three different scenarios with varying degrees of climate action and development.

New York to ban sale of all gas-powered vehicles in the state by 2035. Under the new law, 100% of in-state sales of new passenger cars and trucks will have zero emissions by 2035. That means state agencies will work to develop affordable powering options for zero-emissions vehicles in all communities, improve sustainable transportation and support bicycle and pedestrian options.

Indigenous Tribes Facing Displacement in Alaska and Louisiana Say the U.S. Is Ignoring Climate Threats. The tribes say federal agencies have failed to support their adaptation efforts, despite knowing for decades about sea level rise and climate change threats.

Scientists want to resurrect the woolly mammoth. They just got $15 million to make it happen. Advances in genetics, however, are making resurrecting lost animals a tangible prospect. Scientists have already cloned endangered animals and can sequence DNA extracted from the bones and carcasses of long-dead, extinct animals...The goal isn't to clone a mammoth -- the DNA that scientists have managed to extract from woolly mammoth remains frozen in permafrost is far too fragmented and degraded -- but to create, through genetic engineering, a living, walking elephant-mammoth hybrid that would be visually indistinguishable from its extinct forerunner.

No bull: Scientists potty train cows to use ‘MooLoo’. Just like some parents, the researchers used a sweet treat to coax the cows to push through a gate and urinate in a special pen. And it took only 15 days to train the young calves. Some kids take quite a bit longer.

Life’s short. Live, love, create, and help others.

Until next time, my friends. Stay safe and stay sane. Good night.
